The Fishbasket Project digital packaging campaign explores the tangible and curated experience of “fishing” for old-school CD mixtapes in a digital era for music. The stripped-down, raw aesthetic is inspired by my experiences as kid growing up in Cambodia crate digging through bootleg CDs in markets, and the design format is taken directly from the Japanese design practice of obi strips in physical music distribution.
